Tifgreen Hybrid Bermuda - The most popular, carefree lawn, suited
to our area. Tifgreen presents a fine, putting green surface. It is
essentially disease and insect resistant, can withstand heavy foot traffic
and is extremely drought tolerant. Tifgreen thrives in hot weather and is
adapted to almost every soil type. It requires almost full sunshine to
maintain a lush appearance. During the growing season (spring to fall),
Tifgreen should be mowed weekly at ¼ to ½ inch, and fertilized monthly.
Tifgreen can be planted from sod or stolons
(sprigs) but produces no viable seed. During winter months, Tifgreen
turns brown and does not require mowing or fertilizing unless it is overseeded
with a winter ryegrass. It has been used for putting greens athletic
fields, commercial grounds and in hundreds of thousands of home lawns.
Tifgreen is the best worry free grass adapted to our climate and soils.

Triathalawn Tall Fescue - This beautiful turf lends itself to wide
use in model homes and front yards. It is green year around, withstands
moderate shade and is easy to mow and maintain. Like bluegrass and other
fescues, Triathalawn is native to somewhat temperate climates and special
care must be exercised during the hot summer months to avoid damage caused
by heat stress diseases. Its tall blades are of medium texture and are
best maintained at a height of 1 ½ - 3 inches. It can be mowed with a
rotary mower and will not send out runners into flower beds. Triathalawn
does best in soils which have been well prepared and regular fertilization
and watering programs are used. Triathalawn is available in sod or
seed.
It is a blend of the finest tall fescue found to be adaptable to
California’s soil and climate conditions.

El Toro Zoysia - El Toro Zoysia, a cultivar of a japonica type
zoysiagrass, was developed by Dr. Victor B. Younger at UC Riverside and is
a patented variety available only through authorized and licensed growers.
This popular new patented
variety offers the best of warm season and cool season grasses. El
Toro presents a medium coarse texture without seed heads and forms a
carpetlike turf similar to bluegrasses and fescues. It can withstand heavy
foot traffic and thrives in hot temperatures. This remarkable grass is
resistant to most diseases, tolerant of most soil types, uses less water
and require fewer mowings than other grasses. El Toro can be maintained at
a mowing height of 1 - 2 inches and can be mowed with either a rotary or
reel type mower. During winter dormancy, mowing and fertilizing are not
necessary. For winter color El Toro can be over seeded with ryegrass or
fescue. El Toro can be planted as sod or stolons.

Evershade St. Augustine - Is a versatile
warm season grass. Its principal advantages are extremely good shade
tolerance and little evidence of serious disease problems in California.
The grass blades are very wide and the turf texture in coarse. St.
Augustine develops a dense, thick, mat cushion as is matures. It is rather
tolerant of saline soils, tolerates normal wear, and can be maintained at
1 - 1 ½ inch cutting height by either a rotary or reel type mower. As
with similar warm season grasses, St. Augustine produces runners and is
subject to winter dormancy. Available as sod and can be plugged.
